In 2018 the Secure Sebelius Lake Committee was formed to take on the fundraising challenge to ensure the continued and future health of the wildlife and fisheries habitat the lake provides. The Northwest Kansas Conservation Foundation awarded $25,000 in 2018 when the project began. The foundation has committed to an additional $20,000 towards this fund. $10,000 was awarded in November of 2023 and $20,000 will be awarded in January of 2024.
The Kansas Governor’s Ringneck Classic is committed to contributing to Northwest Kansas, the youth of our communities, habitat improvement and wildlife conservation.
